How to remove Red Wine from Carpets

Red wine spillage

A customer recently asked me how do I remove red wine from my carpets, especially if you're not around or I can't get hold of you? After giving my customer a few tips and a bottle of our stain removal spotter this got me thinking. Therefore to support and help my customers and friends you can now follow SleepHaven on Facebook. There you will find lots of useful information on home remedy stain removal, daily allergy tips and a discussion board where you can leave your cleaning questions. If the answer is not already there, I will do my best to answer your question or offer advice giving you support 24 hours a day 7 days a week!!

Mattress Stains

Hydrogen Peroxide - If you are dealing with a bloodstain on your mattress, hydrogen peroxide will do the trick. Blot the stain using a white towel, from the outside going in. You will notice bubbles forming. Keep doing this until blood is no longer seeping onto your white towel. You must remember, though, that using hydrogen peroxide is not effective all the time, not because it is a bad product, but because there are bloodstains that have stayed on the mattress for so long, making them impossible to remove.

Vinegar Magic - If you are dealing with urine stains, do the same trick that you did for bloodstains. If not, you can also use white vinegar and blot the mattress with it.
